In the production of certain electronic products and some other products we are not familiar with, resin infusion is required. After infusion, the resin is shaped. To ensure the product meets inspection requirements, it needs to be disassembled or cut open to check for air bubbles in the shaped resin. The presence of air bubbles can significantly impact lifespan, performance, or safety. Therefore, to maximize product yield, we employ a pre-vacuum mixing and degassing process combined with pressure-holding degassing during infusion to minimize the possibility of air bubble formation. For products requiring faster shaping, we can also implement temperature control on the mixing and shaping tanks to maintain production efficiency. Below is a vacuum mixing and vacuum infusion device, also known as a vacuum casting system, that we recently customized for a client.
The vacuum mixing equipment uses a 100L vacuum chamber and includes a pressure gauge, thermometer, inlet and outlet valves, an internal filter, a mixing gear motor, and shaft seals. Made of 304 stainless steel, it maximizes material protection against contamination. The tank has a discharge valve at the bottom, allowing connection to a pipeline leading to the vacuum casting system. The vacuum casting system is 1 meter in diameter and 1.5 meters long, constructed of 8mm carbon steel. Both the tank and the vacuum casting system are equipped with independent vacuum pumps, allowing for manual or automatic control. Our vacuum mixing and casting systems can achieve vacuum pressures below 50 Pa. We can customize configurations according to customer requirements, including temperature control systems, pressure detection and alarm systems, and emergency stop buttons. The large vacuum casting chamber features internal sliding rails for easy material loading and unloading.
We can provide vacuum chamber size recommendations tailored to your product. Carbon steel and stainless steel vacuum chambers are both available. Chendon Vacuum, experts in vacuum systems.
